Meet the Staff

PAUL MORENO, President. Paul has been in the travel industry for over 20 years. He started at Harvard Travel where he made travel arrangements for professors going on lectures to teams battling Yale. As a two-term Board Member for the prestigious IGLTA travel organization, he pioneered and implemented a code of ethics protecting the traveler. His specialties are Corporate Travel and Caribbean destinations (He was born and raised on the Dutch island of Curacao, and has visited at least 40 islands). Paul is also fluent in 5 languages (quinlingual), facilitating international and foreign bookings!

STEPHEN BARLOW, Vice President. Stephen has been at 5 Star Travel since the change of ownership in 1991. He serves as an agent and office administrator. He is also responsible for creating our "Community Share Program," the only one of its kind in our industry. Born and raised in Northampton, England makes European destinations his specialty. Detailing and lengthy research is how he does his job. Above and beyond his 5 Star duties, he also volunteers for several local organizations.

RICK RYAN, Assistant Manager. Rick is our vacation specialist and knows how to create the perfect money saving package for you. Having worked for American Airlines' Fly-a-Way vacations for several years, he knows most destinations, properties and specials. Besides being extremely pleasant on the phone, Rick's clients always come back for their next vacation. It's time for YOU to get away - Call Today!

JACK CAMPBELL, Sales Representative. Jack has more contacts than the phonebook. He has been at 5 Star Travel for eight years now. His specialties include arranging group travel and obtaining discounted air and hotel rates for various groups or events. This year he is Boston's official agent for the NAGAA World Series. He is particularly proud of his sponsored Basketball Team, The Shooting Stars. Jack is also the publisher of our highly praised newsletter, The Boston Traveler. Favorite destination: Canada.

MARK TAGGART, Sales Representative. Mark is the newest member of our team, after moving to Boston from New Hampshire where he worked as a Sales Representative. Energetic, creative and full of spirit are the ingredients that give him both a corporate and leisure following. Mark is also the Program Coordinator for Boston based BAGLY. ERIKA DAYKIN, President Emeritus. Previous 5 Star Travel owner Erika Daykin has always loved her business, and we are proud to still have her on our team with a special title. She has been a travel consultant for over 30 years, and specializes in exotic travel such as Safaris, Ecotourism and Asia. Birthplace: Latvia - fluent in three languages. We cannot thank Erika enough for filling in for Paul and Stephen when they are away.
